My name is Chris Sterling, and I was born and raised in a small fishing village called Whitehouse, Jamaica — a community that helped shape me into the man I am today. It’s a place filled with hardworking, kind-hearted people who look out for one another like family.

Today, that same community is in desperate need of help. Hurricane Melissa hit Jamaica with unimaginable force — a Category 5 storm that left behind heartbreak and destruction. My hometown of Whitehouse was completely devastated. Many families have lost everything — their homes, their belongings, their crops, and even access to clean water and food.

It’s painful to see the community I grew up in now struggling for the most basic necessities of life. There are elderly people sleeping in damaged homes, parents trying to feed their children without electricity or clean water, and neighbors doing their best to hold on to hope.

I am raising funds to help provide food, clean water, tarps for shelter, and rebuilding supplies directly to families in Whitehouse who have been hit the hardest. Every dollar raised will go straight toward helping people I personally know — neighbors, friends, and loved ones — get back on their feet.

I will also be sharing photos and updates from the community so you can see exactly how your donations are making a difference.
