Help Rebuild My 80-Year-Old Grandmother’s Home After Devastating Crash
Today, our family experienced an unthinkable tragedy.
Early this morning, a vehicle crashed directly into my grandmother’s home, causing severe structural damage and leaving the house unsafe to live in. The front of the home was completely destroyed. This is the house she has lived in her entire life — the place where she raised her family, created decades of memories, and has always felt safe.
My grandmother will be 80 years old next month. She is a senior with no income and health issues. Unfortunately she choose health insurance over homeowner's insurance, leaving this disaster uncovered. Overnight, she lost the stability and security she’s relied on her whole life — through no fault of her own.
While we are grateful that she survived, the emotional toll has been overwhelming. At her age, starting over feels impossible without help. The home is currently unlivable and requires extensive repairs, including structural rebuilding, debris removal, securing the property, and future construction costs. Right now, we are focused on making sure she has a safe place to stay and the support she needs to get through this.
