Help Rebuild Cornbread's Home After Fire
Donation protected
I'm Susannah, and I met Mr. Nathan and his neighbors when we planted trees in his neighborhood, the Lower Ninth Ward. Tragically, a neighbor's propane tank exploded and caused a fire that burned their house plus four other neighbors' homes, including Mr. Nathan's. His house is decimated, and he lost all of his possessions. Tragically, he could not afford insurance, so this is a total loss.

His son, Little Nate, says, "My father is a hard working man who takes pride in being a good father, grandparent, brother and friend to those close to him. He lost his home and all of his belongings unexpectedly in a fire on 3/18/25. If you can find it in your heart to help him rebuild and get back on his feet, it would be deeply appreciated."
His girlfriend, Ms. Shirley, says, "Nathan works very hard. He is well loved in his neighborhood. Some know him as Nathan, but most people call him 'Cornbread.' He's always looking out for his neighbors and lends a helping hand in any way he can."
It's our turn to lend a helping hand to Cornbread. Please donate as you are able.
