Help Rebuild Mount Peace, Hanover, Jamaica After Hurricane Melissa.

Hi, my name is Donovan, and I was born in Mount Peace, Hanover, Jamaica. I now live in Canada, but my heart remains in Mount Peace, where many of my family and friends still live.

As you’ve likely seen, Hurricane Melissa has brought devastating destruction across Jamaica. In our small, tight-knit community of Mount Peace, homes have been damaged or completely destroyed. Roofs have been torn off, houses flooded, and countless families have lost everything they’ve worked so hard for.

Despite the heartbreak, the spirit of Mount Peace remains strong. Neighbours are taking in those who have lost their homes, helping each other clean up, rebuild, and stay hopeful. But they can’t do it alone — they need our help.

I’ve created this GoFundMe to raise funds that will go directly to the people of Mount Peace. The money will be used to purchase food, clothing, building supplies, furniture, and other essentials — everything needed to help families begin rebuilding their lives and restore a sense of normalcy.
