Hello all,
As many of you may know by now; Grenada, Carriacou and Petit Martinique was hit with a Category 5 Hurricane named Beryl on Monday July 1st.
A quote from CBS News:
“Carriacou, which means "Isle of Reefs," is just 13 square miles, but it is the second-largest island within Grenada. Hurricane Beryl's size and strength completely overpowered the island, as well as its neighbor, St. Vincent and the Grenadines' Union Island, which saw 90% of its homes severely damaged or destroyed”.
My Mom dedicated 30 years of her life as a healthcare provider to special needs children and adults. She was as dedicated to her vocation as she is to her family and friends.
My Mom retired and moved back to Carriacou, Grenada 10 yrs ago and has taken pride in beautifying her home and the surrounding land with plants, tropical flowers and fruit trees.
Unfortunately my Mom’s roof was lost to the storm. The windows and doors were also blown out. The category 5 hurricane caused major flooding inside the home as well.
I would greatly appreciate donations of any amount to assist us with replacing her roof, windows and the overall clean up in and around the home. I would love to restore our family home to its former glory and allow my Mom to once again live in paradise.
Thank you.
