My name is Angel, and I’m a Nurse Assistant in New York. I was born and raised in Mocho, St. James, Jamaica — a beautiful community that shaped who I am today.

Help St. James Recover After Hurricane Melissa

In the past 3 days. Hurricane Melissa has ravaged my home parish, leaving heartbreaking destruction in its wake. The communities of Mocho, Garlands, St. James have been especially devastated — homes are completely underwater, roofs torn away, crops washed away, and even hospital wards flooded.

Families are displaced. Roads are impassable. Many are running out of food, clean water, and essential medications. Our farmers — the backbone of our community — are in urgent need of help.

Our Plan

Beginning November 6th, I will be on the ground with the help of community members to deliver direct relief to those most affected.

We’ll be providing:

Non-perishable food and clean water

Essential medications and first-aid supplies

Hygiene kits and baby supplies

Materials to help secure homes and replace roofs

Generators and WiFi connectivity devices

All funds raised will go directly toward purchasing and distributing these supplies.

Some items will be bought in the United States, but most will be purchased in Kingston, Jamaica, to support local businesses and ensure fast delivery to affected areas.
