Hey everyone, my name is Mazo. I’m not usually great at writing things like this, but I wanted to share something deeply personal and heartbreaking that happened to my family.
Five years ago, my mom and dad were grinding every single day working nonstop just to get by. Then, my dad came across an opportunity that changed everything: the chance to open his very own bakery. It had always been his dream to work for himself, to build something from the ground up, and we made it happen. We all pitched in blood, sweat, and tears and opened our family bakery.
Through our hard work and dedication, that little bakery became a place of joy. My dad made new friends and regulars who quickly turned into family. It wasn’t just about the bread or pastries it was about community, love, and a dream finally coming true.
But today, everything changed.
This morning, just as I was getting ready for work, I got a call I’ll never forget: "Your bakery is on fire." I rushed out the door and made the nearly two-hour drive as fast as I could. By the time I arrived, the flames were gone but so was the bakery. All that remained was smoke, ashes, and the heartbreaking shell of what used to be our family’s pride and joy.
To make matters worse, the insurance company has refused to help us. Everything every repair, every rebuild will have to come out of pocket. We weren’t ready for something like this. Watching my mom and dad cry, knowing how much love and effort they put into that place, absolutely breaks my heart. It’s devastating to see years of hard work taken away in minutes.
So I’m writing this today with a heavy heart, asking for any help you might be able to give. Whether it’s a donation, a kind word, or simply sharing our story, it all means the world to us. If you’ve read this far, thank you. I know everyone has their own struggles and their own busy lives, and I truly appreciate you taking the time to hear ours.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Much love and prayers to you all.
