Aloha All,

We here at Life Time Summerlin are reaching out to our community to help rebuild the lives of those affected by the devasting Maui Fires that destroyed at least 2200 buildings, 85% of them being residential. These homes have been reduced to ashes, resulting in families losing everything. As you can imagine the process of rebuilding will be a long one. We are giving 100% of the contributions to the MAUITUF Initiative: Restoring Lives After the Maui Wildfires. The project will house displaced multigenerational families for a period of 12 months or more and provide mental health services, allowing them the time they need to recover and rebuild their lives.

The MAUITUF Initiative aims to construct a temporary shelter village on 6 acres of land, 4 of which will be for building 100 tiny homes. To promote sustainability and create job opportunities for shelter residents, we plan to establish a 2-acre agroforestry program. This program, managed by Koa Hewahewa from Hokunui Maui, will provide a source of fresh produce, contribute to the local economy, and offer educational and therapeutic activities for the shelter residents.

Recognizing the emotional toll that disasters like wildfires can have on individuals and families, The MAUITUF Initiative will also collaborate with Dr. Ashley Kelly, COO of Family Life Center, to provide essential mental health services. PTSD and trauma treatment programs will be available to those in need, helping them navigate the challenges of recovery and healing.

The primary goal of The MAUITUF Initiative is to provide families with a safe and healing environment where they can recover physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. By bridging the gap between tragedy and recovery, the project aims to support families in rebuilding their lives, regaining their sense of stability, and eventually transitioning back to permanent housing.

The MAUITUF Initiative requires $10 million in funding to cover the costs, we are striving to contribute as much as we can to assist with the project.
