Help Rebuild Lyme Green Community Park's Little Library ❤️

On the evening of Tuesday 3rd November, our little lending library at Lyme Green Community Park was deliberately set on fire. Sadly, this isn't the first time the library has been targeted, but on this occasion the damage has been devastating. The library itself, along with all the books inside, has been completely destroyed.
For those who aren't familiar with the park, it's a space that local residents and volunteers have spent years working to improve and look after. The lending library was one of those lovely little additions that made the park somewhere people could enjoy, offering children and adults the chance to borrow a book, leave one for somebody else, or discover something new to read. It was a simple idea, and one that relied entirely on people being willing to share with others.
It's incredibly disappointing to see something provided for the benefit of the whole community destroyed in this way, particularly when so much time and effort has gone into making the park what it is today.
We're hoping to raise enough money to replace the library and its books, and to consider what we can do to better protect it in the future. Any money raised through this fundraiser will go directly to Park4All Lyme Green , the registered charity responsible for the improvements to the park, to support the replacement of the library.
If you're able to contribute, however much, we'd be very grateful. We appreciate that money is tight for many households, and simply sharing this fundraiser with others would be a great help too.
It's such a shame that a small community facility has been lost in this way, but we'd really like to see it back in the park for everyone to enjoy.
Thank you for your support.
