Hi, I'm Melissa and I am fundraising on behalf of my friend Steph and her husband. They have had £64500 taken from them by a fraudulent contractor who have demolished their house and left them living on a building site for well over a year and are denying any liability. Their roof isn't weather proof, they have no windows in half of the house just tarpaulin, the ground floor is dug out down to dirt level and they have had no kitchen for over a year as well as multitude of other issues. They have paid a ridiculous amount in legal fees to get absolutely nowhere, citizens advice have told them to do everything that they have already done, and they have tried multiple routes with the police to be told "it's a civil matter" with the bank refusing to help and saying the same thing. They are completely heartbroken and have no idea how they can start to rebuild their home. The money raised will go towards making the house weatherproof and warm. Concentrating on the roof, windows and insulation. Please anything you can donate will go towards this wonderful couple being able to rebuild not just their home but their lives.
