ON Tuesday October 28th a powerful Hurricane Melissa devastated my home Island Jamaica as a category 5
Many lives were lost and many injured. There homes totally destroyed, they lost everything .
We can only do so much,I am shining a little light in my corner of Myersville and Warminster , 2 towns in St. Elizabeth where I grew up and went to school.
PLEASE PLEASE help me keep this light glowing for a few or as many of these survivors, MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
My name is Precious Goodwin Bennett . I am a retired RN residing in Palm Bay central Florida.I have family and friends all over the Island of Jamaica. I cannot help them all. I choose to focus on this area of destruction with family members and friends.I will not be able to get items of packages to them,so it has to be monetary donations.
This will help to provide them with the ability to purchase their basic necessity as they can get it.Roads in these rural areas are so badly damaged it is difficult to get in and out,and each family need is different with children and the elderly.
Jamaica National Bank will be the bank used for transfer of funds for easier distribution, that is the Santa Cruz branch in St. Elizabeth.
