Hello, my name is Lewis, and I’m reaching out for urgent help to support 12 families in Huai Mak Lang, a remote village in Mae Hong Son, Thailand, devastated by severe flooding and landslides caused by Storm Kajiki from August 24-28, 2025.
The Crisis in Huai Mak Lang
Huai Mak Lang is a tight-knit community, but it’s been cut off from the outside world. The village’s roads are impassable, homes have been destroyed, and families have lost everything. Tragically, my friend's uncle passed away in this disaster, and another uncle was severely injured. Even if his injured uncle recovers, he has no home to return to—his house and belongings are gone. The 12 affected families, including those with loved ones who are injured or deceased, are struggling to survive without basic necessities.
Our Goal
We’re raising funds to provide immediate assistance to these 12 families, ensuring they have the support they need to rebuild their lives. Our goal is to provide at least 5,000 baht (approximately $150 USD) per family, totaling 60,000 baht (around $1,800 USD). This money will help cover essentials like food, shelter, clothing, and medical supplies, as well as support for families mourning loved ones or caring for the injured.
How You Can Help
Your donation, no matter the size, will make a direct impact:
It provides food and basic supplies for families and helps cover medical costs or temporary shelter.
Every contribution brings hope to Huai Mak Lang, helping families rebuild after unimaginable loss. The funds will be distributed directly to the affected families through my trusted local community leader and friend Deksammork . I’ll provide updates on how your donations are helping.
Why This Matters
Huai Mak Lang is a remote village with limited resources, and recovery will be slow without outside help. These families are resilient but need our support to get back on their feet. Your generosity can provide not just aid but also hope for a community facing grief and hardship.
Please donate today and share this campaign with your friends and family. Together, we can help Huai Mak Lang recover from this tragedy. Thank you for standing with us during this difficult time.
With gratitude,
Lewis
