Hurricane Melissa devastated the coastal communities of Brighton and Little Bay in Westmoreland, Jamaica. Many of you know Wabba, the heart and soul of these communities. The Community Heartbeat Foundation, an Ohio-based nonprofit, is working with him to provide food, water, and materials to help families rebuild their homes and lives. Every dollar helps restore hope where it is needed most.

If you’ve ever been to Blue Hole Mineral Spring or visited Brighton or Little Bay, you have probably met Wabba. He greets everyone with a smile, makes strangers feel like family, and has spent years quietly helping his neighbors. He is part of what makes these communities so special.

When Hurricane Melissa struck, roofs were torn away, trees and power lines came down, and floodwaters rushed through homes. Families who once welcomed visitors with warmth and pride are now struggling to start over.

Who We Are

The Community Heartbeat Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Cincinnati, Ohio. All funds raised will go through the foundation and be directed to trusted local partners and community leaders, including Wabba Clayton, to ensure the money is used properly for relief and rebuilding.
