My girlfriend and I recently took a trip back to my hometown in Michigan. I haven't been able to see my father in 7 years. I called him last month and something was off. I looked at my girlfriend and said, pack up, we are going to see my father, who she's never met before.

We arrived and the house smelled horrible. We went to lay down and the top blanket and the next blanket had shit stains. His white sheets were yellow, and the bathroom and refrigerator were horrible.

Day two, my father had a sundowning episode. That's when I knew he had dementia.

Day three, I got locked up on a 13-year-old warrant from Sterling Heights. I spent 17 days inside MCJ and lost both my jobs here in Tennessee. I'm late on my car note, light bills, rent, and basically everything is behind. I know God will provide, yet I have to try something. I'm praying for a miracle to help us. I have strong leads on job searches. In the meantime, anything and everything helps! Thank you all.
