Help Us Rebuild After Unexpected Hardship

Dear Friends and Supporters,

A few months ago, my wife, our 2 dogs Maddie and Ivar, our 2 cats Ziggy and Squiggly, and I moved in with friends, hoping for a fresh start. Unfortunately, after only a few months, we discovered that a second dwelling wasn't allowed on their property, and they had to reluctantly terminate our lease to avoid any issues.

This left us homeless and struggling to keep a roof over our heads. We completely understood this and got everything off the property within a week, working well into the evenings and a few times into the early mornings. Shortly after we were off the property, during our first week in the hotel, I ended up getting hospitalized with very intense pneumonia. I was in the ICU for 2 days, followed by another three in a regular unit. Upon discharge, I am still experiencing trouble helping my wife financially support our situation. The capacity of my lungs has deteriorated due to my asthma.

We're currently staying in hotels and doing our best to stay afloat, but we've exhausted all our resources. My wife, after getting off work, is having to DoorDash for 3 to 5 hours, 5 days a week. I have been able to help deliver meals a few times a week, but I'm exhausted rather quickly.

We're desperately asking for your support to help us secure stable housing and rebuild our lives. We are currently in the Vancouver, Portland, Oregon area and attempting to get any assistance from state or county resources, but the waitlist is extremely long and not even hotel vouchers are available.
