Hi, I’m Laurene, a Filipina living in Austria, and lately, it’s been really hard to watch what’s happening back home. The Philippines has been hit by one typhoon after another . First Kalmaegi, and now Fung-Wong, a super typhoon so massive it’s covering most of the country.

My grandmother, who lives by the sea and runs a small lodging business, was badly affected. The rooms she had just finished building were destroyed, and even her own small sleeping space was wrecked. It breaks my heart knowing how much she poured into it, only to see it washed away overnight.

I know there are countless others like her, people trying to rebuild their homes, their businesses, and their lives after losing almost everything.

I’m starting this fundraiser to help my grandmother and other families in the area get back on their feet. Any amount you give will go a long way toward rebuilding roofs, repairing walls, and bringing back a bit of hope to those who’ve lost so much.

All funds raised will go directly toward helping my grandmother and other families rebuild after the typhoons.
