My sister, Sue Waters, and nephew, Matt Waters, experienced a devastating fire at their townhome on September 1, 2025, in Ankeny. Four units were affected, but theirs was a total loss. They have the clothes on their back and their dogs. It goes without saying that they have a long road ahead of them. We are setting up a GoFundMe account to help them get back on their feet and to help rebuild their lives.
