Help Rebuild La Joya After Hurricane Erick

Our dear friend Jairo and his amazing family need our help.

Hurricane Erick hit Barra de la Cruz hard - and Jairo’s beloved campground La Joya and cabanas suffered severe damage. The storm destroyed the brand new palapa they were building, wiped out essential construction materials, and even ruined their family truck. To make matters worse, while they focus on rebuilding, they won’t be able to host guests - meaning their only source of income is temporarily gone.

If you’ve ever been lucky enough to visit Barra and stay with Jairo and his family, you’ll know how special this place is. They welcome everyone like family, and have created a space that makes people feel at home, connected to nature, and part of the local community.

Now it’s our turn to give back.

Every dollar raised will go directly to helping them rebuild the campground, replace lost materials, recover transportation, and get back on their feet so they can continue doing what they do best - sharing the beauty of Barra with the world.

Ayudemos a Reconstruir el Campamento de Jairo Después del Huracán Erick

Nuestro querido amigo Jairo y su hermosa familia necesitan nuestra ayuda.

El huracán Erick golpeó con fuerza a Barra de la Cruz, y el campamento y las cabañas de Jairo sufrieron daños graves. La tormenta destruyó la nueva palapa que estaban construyendo, se llevó muchos materiales de construcción, y hasta dañó completamente la camioneta familiar. Además, mientras se enfocan en las reparaciones, no podrán recibir visitantes - lo que significa que por ahora no tienen ingresos.

Si alguna vez tuviste la suerte de visitar Barra y hospedarte con la familia de Jairo, sabes lo especial que es este lugar. Te reciben como parte de su familia y han creado un espacio donde uno se siente en casa, en armonía con la naturaleza y conectado con la comunidad local.

Ahora nos toca a nosotros devolverles un poco de todo lo que ellos han dado.

Cada peso o dólar recaudado irá directamente a ayudarles a reconstruir el campamento, recuperar materiales perdidos, reemplazar su transporte y volver a recibir visitantes como siempre lo han hecho: con amor, generosidad y alegría.
