Hi everyone, we are People’s Free Kitchen – a food sovereignty and community aid program based in the heart of Orlando. Every Sunday, we serve 100+ hot meals with water, juice, dessert, and care – all for free. Since 2022, we've delivered over 7,000 meals to our neighbors experiencing food insecurity and homelessness. We believe that feeding our community with dignity is not just charity – it's justice.

This is how we met Ms. Kat.

During our Sunday distribution we met, Tha Cornerstone, which is run by her sons (Bobby & Leon) a dedicated community organization based in Parramore that for the past year and a half, Ms. Kat and her family have been showing up every single Sunday to feed and clothe our unhoused neighbors in Parramore. Their work has run parallel to ours every weekend, and through our shared purpose and weekly routines, a deep friendship blossomed.

Over time, Ms. Kat opened up to us about the overall challenges she faces in re-building Kat & Ma’Belle’s. Between rising costs, aging kitchen equipment, and the everyday wear-and-tear of running a busy community hub, she's been stretched incredibly thin. She and her sons have poured every ounce of their hearts into serving others – but now, they need us to show up for them.

That’s where we come in – and where we need you.

People’s Free Kitchen is ready to organize the volunteer labor to make critical fixes happen. We are collecting these funds purely for materials, supplies, and tools required to get Kat & Ma’Belle’s back on solid ground.

This is about more than a restaurant. Kat & Ma’Belle’s is a space that feeds, clothes, and shelters the most vulnerable among us. We stand with a family-run, grassroots organization that has given tirelessly to the neighborhood of Parramore week after week.

Every dollar goes directly to repairs, supplies, and materials. All labor will be voluntarily.
