Help Rebuild James Baillie's Life After 2 Hurricanes

This is what losing your life looks like. Between hurricanes Helene and Milton, virtually wiped me out. And after paying for flood insurance for 33 years, I just couldn’t afford it anymore and I dropped coverage, so I’m left with just a little bit that FEMA will give me. I guess I’m lucky. I have my life and I have a roof To repair.

95% of my belongings are gone.

The house was flooded with 2 feet of water which covered half of the electrical outlets. So most of the wiring has to be replaced. The air conditioner was submerged and needs to be replaced. All the appliances and kitchen cabinets need to be replaced. There’s not a part of the house that doesn’t need to be repaired. But the good news is for under $55K the house can be repaired!
