We are Kim and Pat, founders of Marine View Heart Foundation, and we are partnering with Black People Travel Network, Jamaican Roots Travel, and Jamaican Roots Seamoss. Our mission is to give back to those in need worldwide, but Jamaica holds a special part in our lives because it is our native home. As the saying goes, home is where the heart is, and our heart is very broken.

Hurricane Melissa has left a trail of destruction, leaving many of our brothers and sisters across Jamaica facing unimaginable loss: homes destroyed, livelihoods disrupted, access to basic necessities, and entire communities displaced.

Like many of you, we found ourselves asking, “How can we help?” Our mission is simple: to help our people get back on their feet, stay safe, and healthy.

We launched this relief fund to provide urgent relief and long-term recovery support for those affected — with a special focus on senior citizens, families with children, and low-income communities who need our help the most in the hardest-hit areas.

Why We Need Your Help: Hurricane Melissa brought:

• Widespread flooding and wind damage

• Displacement of families

• Loss of homes, food, and clean water

• Interrupted access to medical care and education

Your donations will go directly toward stocking shipping containers:

Emergency shelter and rebuilding damaged homes and community infrastructure.

Sanitary and hygiene supplies to reduce common disease spread after this level of loss and destruction.

Providing food, water, and essential supplies

Supporting medical and emergency needs

Assisting families with long-term recovery and stability

This relief effort is being led by Marine View Heart Foundation in partnership with Jamaican Roots Seamoss, Luxury Inspired Travel, BPTN Group, local organizations, and trusted community leaders on the ground in Jamaica.
