I’m writing this on behalf of our dear friend Jacob — a passionate entrepreneur, talented artist, and longtime resident of a brownstone in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Jacob has always poured his heart into his creative work and the community around him. But now, he needs our help.

Jacob’s life was turned upside down due to the neglect and unlawful actions of his landlord. Despite being a paying tenant, he endured years of worsening conditions as the landlord refused to maintain the property. In a deliberate attempt to drive tenants out, she began shutting off essential services — lights, water, and heat — making the space uninhabitable. Still, Jacob had nowhere else to go.

Tragically, the situation escalated when the roof of the building collapsed, severely injuring Jacob. The accident fractured his arm, making it nearly impossible for him to work on his art or run his business. Instead of offering any support or accountability, the landlord succeeded in evicting Jacob, leaving him homeless and physically unable to support himself.

This GoFundMe has been set up to help Jacob secure safe housing, recover physically and emotionally, and regain his independence. Your donation will go toward:
