In the interest of transparency, all funds received here and by other means will be deposited into a new account dedicated only to this cause, accessible only by Pearl Cole. Please know that we are so appreciative for all contributions, received here or by other means. It means so much to Pearl and please know she is forever grateful. ❤️

Update 7/24/25
It's gone. But thanks to so many, on this platform and elsewhere, hope is not. Pearl once had nowhere to go. Now she has nowhere to go but forward.
She's finding her footing and thinking about what's next. It is my understanding the lodging provided will expire on 7/30 for her family as well as other families. Many kudos, by the way, to the YO Hilton & others, I'm sure. They are taking care of their own.
So far, in addition to the generous donations, Pearl has acquired donated mattresses, a dinette set, dresser and sofa, currently in a storage.
Agencies, organizations and individuals have been a godsend to Kerrville and surrounding areas. And as we know, navigating the red tape can be daunting.
There are Angels in Kerrville and they will forever be KerrAngels to me.
And especially, we continuine our prayers for all victims and survivors.❤️

Update 7/17/25:
The home Pearl has put her heart and soul into for years, if not decades, is now scheduled for demolition. Her heart is broken--she is gutted. Her truck was totaled out by the insurance company but one bright spot is she found a new (to her) vehicle yesterday. She's received so much love and support and that is getting her through this. No one can do this alone. Thank you.

Update 7/10/25:
Pearl is awaiting the denial letter from her insurance company to present to FEMA in order for them to begin the process. Also crews will be arriving in the very near future to clear the area, inside and out, of debris, ruined appliances, etc. She and Sharon finally found a storeroom so I'll be heading back in the next few days to transfer items from my car and hopefully help any way I can. Once again, Pearl is filled with gratitude for all the love and support. God Bless all the victims❤️

Pearl has always been there for others--now its time to be there for her.

The devastating July 4th flooding that ripped through Central Texas, specifically Kerr County, will have a lasting impact on residents and visitors alike. The emotional toll and trauma this event has taken on so many of our friends, neighbors, brothers and sisters cannot be underestimated. Peace, hope and comfort for the survivors.

Sharon and I have chosen to open this Gofundme campaign to help our dearest, most special of friends and sister in spirit, Pearl Cole. In the early morning hours of July 4th, Pearl was jarred awake to knee-high mud and water gushing into her home. With her 4-year-old granddaughter's arms wrapped around her neck, she waded through the muck along with Larry to seek out her brother, Savas. She acknowledged rescuers in the process of helping him to escape. First and foremost, all are safe, and we are forever grateful.

The immediate impact on Pearl and her family is devastating. Her home is destroyed for good and is deemed uninhabitable by the city/county. Her truck was struck by another vehicle and sustained considerable damage. Of Larry's two motorcycles, one is retrieved but severly damaged. The second one is presumed washed away. The storage room is unsalvageable. Personal necessities are ruined or impossible to retrieve due to unsafe conditions in the home.

On Sunday, July 6, they were provided lodging for one week, thankfully. Hopefully The Red Cross will be able to step in soon as time goes on. Pearl and her family are displaced, and they are essentially homeless. She never acknowledged her own pain, only that of others, especially all the lost souls.

In the immediate, her family will need to purchase essential items such as temporary lodging, food, hygiene, clothing, footwear, etc. All funds raised here will go toward their immediate needs. Her granddaughter is entering Pre-K this August so any stability for her out of this chaos will hopefully be attained.

We grieve for the lost souls and survivors and plan to donate what we can. Times are tough all around, so any donation you can spare will be most graciously appreciated.

I will attempt to post any updates as they arise.

Many thank yous to each and every one of you. Hold your loved ones near and dear. God Bless.
