Rebuild Great Bay, St. Elizabeth — Hurricane Melissa Took Everything

My name is Judy, aka Maggi, and I’m from Great Bay, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. Our peaceful seaside community has been completely destroyed by Category 5 Hurricane Melissa.

Homes are gone. Families are displaced. Our elders and children have nowhere safe to turn. Roofs were ripped away, trees uprooted, and everything we’ve worked for was swept away overnight.

We are a small, proud, and loving community — but we’ve lost everything. We’re now in desperate need of shelter, food, clean water, clothing, and basic supplies to start rebuilding our lives.

Our goal is to raise $25,000 to help rebuild homes and restore hope to Great Bay. Every donation — no matter the size — brings us one step closer to recovery.
