In 2022, my mum embarked on an exciting journey with the grand opening of Genny's Emporium, a small but charming store born from the dreams of a dedicated entrepreneur. However, our hopes and dreams took an unexpected hit during the bank holiday weekend in the form of a devastating flood. The floodwaters wreaked havoc on our beloved store, causing extensive damage that threatens the very existence of Genny's Emporium. The stock, carefully curated with love and passion, was not spared. Our merchandise, which we handpicked to delight our customers, suffered significant damage. The stud walls, once strong and sturdy, were drenched in water. The electrics have been badly affected so there’s lighting. Even the ceiling, a symbol of shelter and protection, bore the scars of water damage, the soaked tiles crumbling and falling onto the floor and fabrics. To make matters worse, we were informed by the fire brigade that the floodwater was contaminated as it’s from the sewage. We were left with no choice but to refrain from touching anything within, further exacerbating our predicament. We stand at a crossroads, faced with an uncertain future. We've poured our heart, soul, and savings into Genny's Emporium, and we refuse to let this setback define our story. This is where we need your help.
