THE STORY OF CREATIVITY HUB - A LIGHTHOUSE OF HOPE IN GAZA

My name is Rasha Al-Awar , and together with my sister Mariam, we founded Creativity Hub in 2019 — a digital marketing and IT solutions company built on one belief: that talent in Gaza can shine globally.

From a small start-up of three young women, we have grown into a team of 55 experts — half of whom are women — providing digital marketing, web development, and creative services to clients across the Middle East. Our story became proof that hope and opportunity can thrive even under blockade.

Then the war came, and our lighthouse was almost entirely extinguished. Our office in Gaza was destroyed. Contracts were lost overnight. Thousands of freelancers who once earned a living online — the backbone of Gaza’s $ 100 million digital economy — suddenly had no power, no internet, and no safe place to work.

But we refuse to give up!

The Fight Back: Launching the Creativity Hub

We are determined to rebuild — not just for ourselves, but for the entire freelance community that once kept Gaza’s digital economy alive.

Our new initiative, The Creativity Hub , will be a secure, solar-powered workspace located in the humanitarian area of Southern Gaza. It will allow displaced professionals to work safely, reconnect with clients, and restore their livelihoods with dignity.

The Creative Hub will provide:
- 100 safe and fully equipped workstations for freelancers — protected from weather and conflict.
- 24/7 power and internet connectivity through solar energy and backup generators.
- Mentorship and digital up-skilling to re-engage freelancers who lost contracts.
- Inclusive and gender-sensitive facilities, ensuring equal access for women and men.

In its first year, the Hub will support 100 freelancers directly — helping 70 partially active professionals resume work and 30 completely disconnected freelancers re-enter the market. Over time, it will expand to serve 300 freelancers through training and workspace rotations.

Why This Matters

Each freelancer supports an average of five family members. Restoring 100 jobs means food on the table for over 500 people.

This is not charity — it’s an investment in resilience. Every dollar helps restore the dignity of work, rebuild livelihoods, and keep Gaza’s digital economy alive.

Our Urgent Need

The total cost to establish this sustainable Hub is $150,000. CREATIVITY has already committed $50,000 in-kind, including equipment, furniture, and land rental.

How Funds will be Used?

We urgently need to raise $100,000 to cover:
- Solar energy system & backup power
- Workspace construction and equipment relocation
- High-speed internet infrastructure
- Basic facilities for safe and decent working conditions

How You Can Help?

Your contribution will:
- Empower young professionals in Gaza to return to work.
- Reconnect a broken digital economy.
- Show that the world still believes in our potential.

Every dollar counts. Please donate and share this campaign widely with your network. Together, we can help Gaza’s freelancers rebuild their lives through work — not aid.

Thank you for believing in the power of resilience, Creativity, and hope.

About the Organizer

My name is Ranan Al-Muthaffar , and I’m based in Georgia. I am a volunteer and advocate for women’s economic empowerment, working to support women-led businesses and freelancers in Gaza affected by the crisis.

I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Creativity Hub, a registered women-owned digital marketing and IT company in Gaza that lost its premises during the recent war. The company’s founders, Rasha and Maryam Al-Awar, are rebuilding a safe, solar-powered workspace — the Creative Freelancers Hub — to help restore jobs and dignity for 100 displaced professionals.

I am coordinating this effort voluntarily to help them raise the resources they need to restart operations, restore freelancers’ livelihoods, and keep Gaza’s digital economy alive.

All funds collected will be securely transferred from my bank account to the project lead’s account in Gaza and used exclusively for the Hub’s construction, solar-power installation, equipment relocation, and workspace setup.

Transparency is a top priority — I will share regular updates and progress reports on the campaign page to keep every donor informed about the tangible impact their contribution is making.
