Help Our Family Rebuild After Hurricane Melissa
My name is Shenell from Jamaica. On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, Hurricane Melissa ripped through Jamaica resulting in catastrophic floods, homes destroyed and loss of lives. While we are grateful that all our family members have been accounted for, 5 Fastie families living in the western parishes, where the hurricane made landfall, took the full brunt of the storm.
Our loved ones are now facing unbearable hardships. Their homes have either been severely damaged or lost, clean water is scarce and food supplies are running dangerously low. As Jamaicans they are doing their best to be resilient but their situation grows more desperate with each passing day.
We are therefore reaching out to the wider community with humble hearts asking for your help and compassion. As we Jamaicans say, every mickle mek a muckle. Any support you can give whether through donations, supplies or simply sharing this link will bring relief to our loved ones. Every contribution will go towards:
1. Clean water and food supplies
2. Temporary shelter and roofing materials
3. Essential rebuilding efforts
From the bottom of the Jamaican Fastie's hearts, thank you for your kindness, compassion and prayers. Together we can help our loved ones in Jamaica begin to rebuild their lives.
