My name is Yanique Green, and I created this GoFundMe for my cousin's farm in Jamaica called Enhanced by Nature Farm. Here is their story:

Enhanced By Nature Farm, a proud agricultural business in Woodhall, St. Catherine, Jamaica, has been left in ruins after Hurricane Melissa. What was once a thriving, green oasis filled with banana, plantain, cocoa, and other fresh produce now lies flattened, our trees uprooted, crops destroyed, and farm infrastructure damaged.

The Enhanced By Nature team worked tirelessly to provide fresh, locally grown produce to communities, markets, and restaurants while employing residents and offering hands-on training opportunities for agricultural students.

But overnight, everything changed.

Hurricane Melissa’s powerful winds tore through our fields, leaving devastation in its wake. The photos above show just a glimpse of the destruction: toppled banana trees, broken plants, and months of hard work washed away.

We’re now facing the heartbreaking task of starting over: replanting crops, repairing irrigation systems, rebuilding structures, and supporting our farm workers whose livelihoods depend on this land.To make matters even more challenging, the concrete bridge we use to carry our produce across the river after reaping has been broken away cutting off access to vital parts of the farm and making recovery efforts even harder.
