Help Rebuild Drake's Place Restaurant: A Community Pillar

On the morning of January 16th, a devastating fire tore through Drake's Place Restaurant & BBQ Smokehouse, located at 701 S. Florissant Road, in Ferguson; forcing the restaurant to shut down indefinitely. While everyone is incredibly thankful that no one was hurt, the losses are overwhelming. Thanks to the swift response of the Ferguson Fire Department, the damage wasn't a total loss to the structure.

Unfortunately, insurance coverage falls significantly short of what is needed to recover.

Drake's Place has been a cornerstone in the community for over 10 years. Among its daily operations, the restaurant has helped to make unforgettable memories for their patrons; for example: wedding anniversaries, baby showers, gender reveals, graduation parties, repasts, history-making watch night parties, and more—all with the support and love of the amazing community it calls home. They were also featured on the Food Network's show, Restaurant: Impossible, (Season 16), with Chef Robert Irvine.

Drake's Place has stood arm & arm with the community through very difficult times: the 2014 unrest in Ferguson, the challenges of COVID-19, the George Floyd protests, and even the summer's devastating flood in July of 2022, to the recent tragic event that occurred this past August to the dedicated police officer who was severely injured.

Beyond serving great food, Drake's Place takes pride in training young people in hospitality, teaching them skills for excellence, and opportunities for a brighter future. Now, Drake's Place Restaurant & BBQ Smokehouse needs your help to rebuild.

Your support will go directly towards repairs, replacing damaged equipment, and helping the restaurant to reopen so it can continue serving and uplifting the community and beyond.
