Our beloved family friend, Debra “Debbie” Ramsey, has experienced more heartbreak in the past few weeks than most of us could ever imagine. On the night of November 10th, Debbie’s home was completely destroyed in a tragic fire. Everything she owned — her furniture, clothing, family photos, and precious memories — was lost in an instant.

Just weeks earlier, Debbie was still mourning the passing of her husband, who lost his courageous battle with cancer on October 17th and was laid to rest on October 27th. She had poured all of her savings into his medical care and final expenses, leaving her unable to afford home insurance. Now, in the midst of her grief, she is facing the unimaginable — losing not only her husband but also the home they built.

Debbie escaped with nothing but the clothes on her back, her pocketbook, and her sweet dog — her only comfort after such overwhelming loss. She has always been a kind, loving, and selfless woman who would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need. Now, she’s the one who needs our help.
