Help Rebuild Davey's Sister's Accessible Home
Donation protected
My birthday is coming up this month and I am very fortunate to have such wonderful friends that always love and support me and ask “what do you want for your birthday”. This year I have a specific want I’m raising funds to help my friend Davey. His sister who is paralyzed due to a four wheeler accident and now uses a wheelchair full-time. She recently experienced a serious fire that caused significant damage to her home in Fox Lake, Illinois. Luckily she survived the fire, but the house was significantly damaged.
Her childhood home was older and not insured at the time of the fire. The damage has left it uninhabitable—structural repairs, electrical rewiring, and full accessibility modifications will be required to make it safe and livable again.
My friend is a carpenter and committed to helping her rebuild. However, the cost to this is significant as one can imagine.
Funds raised will go directly toward:
• Structural repairs and electrical work
• Restoring basic utilities (heating, water, electricity)
• Making the home ADA-compliant (ramps, widened doorways, accessible bathroom)
• Replacing essential personal items and medical equipment
This fundraiser is the most realistic path we have toward getting her safely back into a stable, independent living situation. Any amount you can contribute is deeply appreciated. Thank you for your support.
