Hi, my name is Glen P. Hubahib. I am a lawyer by profession. Currently living in the San Francisco Bay Area. A strong Typhoon "Odette" (International Code Name Rai) hit Central Philippines on December 17 causing catastrophic property damage and loss of lives. My wife's hometown - the Municipality of Danao, Bohol, Philippines - was badly hit. Many lose their homes and face imminent hunger in addition to the economic devastation of Covid 19.

 

Initially, from our own funds we were able to buy 80 sacks of rice and 600 pieces of galvanized tin roof. Those were only for a few people. We are racing to put a roof on their homes because it is the rainy season in the Philippines.

 

The fundraising proceeds will be used to buy more rice and additional galvanized tin roof. We are collaborating and working closely with the Local Government Unit of Danao, Bohol, Philippines. We also link with a local foundation for the prompt, efficient and transparent delivery of relief efforts.
