I am reaching out with a heavy heart to share a devastating event that has profoundly impacted our family. On Thursday, December 12th, my mom's home—a place we've cherished for over 40 years—was engulfed in flames and completely destroyed. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but the loss is unimaginable.

My mom has faced incredible hardships in recent years, losing both her husband and mother, and now it’s just her and my sister trying to navigate this difficult journey together. She has always been a source of strength and kindness in our community, often opening her heart and home to those in need, only to be taken advantage of in her generosity.

Due to being on Social Security, she was unable to afford homeowners insurance, which has left her with no safety net during this crisis. She has lost everything—her home, cherished belongings, and even her car, which is barely running now.
