Help rebuild Carriacou, Grenada
Donation protected
Hello, my family and I have set up this GoFundMe page to raise money for our island, our family and friends who have been affected by Hurricane Beryl, and we need your help!
Just over three weeks ago, Hurricane Beryl devastated our island of Carriacou and its 10,000 residents, along with the rest of the Tri-Island state of Grenada (Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique).
Many houses and buildings were destroyed, schools were completely flattened, and the general hospital was left without a roof and with damaged medical supplies. The island has suffered significant infrastructural damage, flooding, and has limited electricity and internet. Families have been left without homes, food, and clothes.
We need your help to support our people as they start to rebuild their lives.
Your donations will help fund:
- Solar-powered electronics
- Wireless tools
- Solar-powered generators
- Barrels & storage to send items
- Wood and other building materials
- PPE and supplies for the local hospital
- Rebuilding of schools
- School supplies
- Clothes and food
All donations will go towards supporting Carriacou. We will share regular updates, photos, and videos of what your donation has supported.
Thank you to everyone who has donated already. We’ve already sent four barrels and are sending a container of supplies later this week. Your support means everything.
This month, we have launched the charity Tri-Island Change Initiative.
Background:
Tri-Island Change Initiative has been established as a long-term plan to support individuals in rebuilding their lives and communities. Our mission is to create a thriving community where every individual has the resources necessary to achieve independence and success, contributing to the overall well-being and prosperity of Carriacou, Petite Martinique, Grenada, and the neighbouring islands.
Look out for updates from us as the charity develops.
