Help Rebuild Carols House
Donation protected
On the morning of April 19th, my mother, Carol Aynes, woke up to a fire in her home of 30 years. Thankfully, she was able to escape with her 3-year-old grandson and dog. However, her house was gutted by the fire. The cost of repairs are more than she will be able to afford on her own, and there was no insurance at the time of the fire. This place was more than a home, one that she lived in and owned for 30 years. There, she raised all three of her children and many of her grandchildren in it. She currently lives there with her 3-year-old grandson, Giovani, her dog, and cat.
As of Saturday, she is staying with family and waiting for more information from the local fire department and investigators. The fire started during a large storm where many trees and homes were also struck by lightning. We know that others have also been affected by this storm and through the support of the community, we will all get through this together.
Many people in town know Carol and know that this house is a welcoming place for anyone in need. Now, she is in need of our help. We’re asking for help with repairs to make her house a home again so she can raise her grandson. Please help us make sure that Carol and Giovani have a safe place to call home after the devastating loss of their loss.
