Hi Friends, hope you are all well and doing great! My name is Sharon Graham, originally from Burnt Savannah, St Elizabeth. I migrated over 20 years ago, however I was most recently in the community of Burnt Savannah in May 2025 for my father’s funeral. Today I come to you with hopeful hearts, considering the recent category 5 Hurricane that hit Jamaica. The hurricane did make landfall in my section of the island, St. Elizabeth (the island breadbasket). The parish was impacted severely, affecting schools, churches, and homes. It is a challenging time for everyone, especially for the children who are out of school. Normally they would be able to utilize the church for learning, however the roof is also gone. The aim of this funding is to assist with repairs for the Burnt Savannah Primary School, Infant school, and Baptist church. As a child growing up, these three institutions were very fundamental in my upbringing. Thank you in advance for your kind support.
