Hi everyone,
My name is Tanya and I am reaching out to all of you for help with supporting the rebuilding of Belmont, Jamaica. Hurricane Melissa has caused devastating damage across the Caribbean, and my husband’s hometown of Belmont, Jamaica was hit especially hard. Many families — including our own relatives — have lost their homes and belongings. There’s currently no power, cell service, or running water, and people are struggling to rebuild with very limited resources.
We’re doing what we can from here in Canada to help. We’re collecting essential items to ship to Jamaica and raising funds through this GoFundMe to directly support families in Belmont who need help rebuilding their homes and lives.
Every dollar raised will go straight to the community — to purchase building materials, food, and other necessities. One of us will also be travelling to Jamaica to help distribute supplies and assist with rebuilding efforts in person, ensuring donations reach those who need them most.
Donation drop-offs: North-West Brampton or Malton (Public Storage)
Deadline: November 15, 2025

If you can’t drop off items, this GoFundMe is a simple way to help — every dollar makes a real difference.
Warren will be travelling to Jamaica to personally help distribute donations and assist with rebuilding, ensuring everything goes directly to those in need.
The people of Belmont are strong and resilient — with your kindness, we can help them rebuild and recover.
Thank you so much for your support.
