Rebuild Barangay Sampinit, Bago City: A Community Close to Our Hearts
When we were nursing students at the University of St. La Salle, we completed our Community Health Nursing clinicals in Barangay Sampinit in Bago City, a place that welcomed us with open arms and taught us what true compassion, resilience, and community spirit mean.
Today, Barangay Sampinit needs our help.
During Typhoon Tino, many families lost their homes and belongings. What was once a close-knit, thriving rural barangay is now struggling to rebuild from the ground up.
We, as former nursing students and USLS alumni, are coming together to give back to the community that helped shape who we are as nurses, a community that once opened its doors to us when we were still learning how to care.
Funds raised will go toward:
• Rebuilding damaged homes
• Providing food, clean water, and hygiene supplies
• Supporting displaced families and children
Additional Help Needed:
If anyone knows USLS alumni doctors or nurses who can help check on the health and well-being of the residents in Barangay Sampinit, please reach out. We are also looking for volunteers or local contacts who can help with grocery shopping, supply packing, and transporting goods to Bago City, where Barangay Sampinit is located.
We are currently in touch with the Dean of the College of Nursing at USLS, and will coordinate all efforts to ensure that every form of help, monetary or hands-on, reaches the affected families safely and transparently.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, brings hope and relief to those who have lost so much.
Let’s show that Lasallians never forget, and that the spirit of service and humanity we learned at USLS continues long after graduation.
Please share this campaign with fellow USLS alumni, classmates, and friends. Together, we can help Barangay Sampinit rise again.
Thank you all in advance!
