Help Bob Rebuild His Aviaries After Devastating Fire
On Friday, May 16th, our dear friend Bob experienced an unimaginable loss when a horrific fire destroyed his beloved aviaries. The fire, which was confirmed by the fire brigade to be caused by an electrical fault, left nothing behind. The damage was devastating — not just physically, but emotionally, too.
Bob has poured his heart, soul, and savings into building and caring for these aviaries. They weren’t just structures; they were a sanctuary for countless birds, many of whom were rescues. Bob has been a quiet hero on the Isle of Wight, always there to support The Isle Of Wight Bird Rescue — nursing injured birds back to health, giving them a home, and dedicating himself entirely to their care.
For Bob, birds are not a hobby — they are his life. To lose everything so suddenly has been truly heartbreaking.
We’re asking for your help to raise a minimum of £1500 (though anything above that would be an incredible blessing) to help Bob begin the process of rebuilding what was lost. Every penny will go towards materials, shelter, and care for the birds that Bob has always looked after with such love and dedication.
Bob has given so much to the birds and to our community — now it’s our turn to give something back. Please donate if you can, and share this page with others who might be able to help. Let’s help Bob rebuild, and remind him he’s not alone in this.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
