Dear Friends,
As many of you know, Hurricane Melissa devastated several parishes in Jamaica. My home parish, St. Elizabeth, was among the hardest hit. Our family home — the place where I grew up and where my Auntie Sharon still lives — suffered extensive damage.
Most of the roof was torn off, windows were shattered and displaced, and severe flooding caused parts of the kitchen to sink. Furniture and personal belongings were soaked and ruined. The entire parish remains without electricity, and access to clean water and food continues to be a daily struggle.
We are seeking support to help repair and restore our home. Every contribution will go directly toward rebuilding — replacing the roof, fixing structural damage, and making the house safe and livable again for Auntie Sharon.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. Your support means more than words can express.
With gratitude,
Peta Walker
