Help Rebuild and Support After Devastating Raid

Hello all, I hate to be here writing again, especially for the reason this has to happen.

October 18, 2024, at 8 am, my residence was raided in West Philadelphia due to my now ex-friend and roommate getting arrested and taken out along with his electronic items, as well as mine. (Phone, Computers, Tablets) and are being investigated. I was then informed by police that he was being arrested for buying and consuming child pornography. They even tracked it back to the home IP address. I had absolutely no idea that was going on. I don't even know where to begin. I pretty much grew up with this person. I'm having a hard time putting myself out there with this situation because I'm very introverted and don't really talk about what happens in my life. I do not wish to further elaborate outside of the presented information as I'm still very angry, upset, and embarrassed.

However, because of weird life circumstances between me and my family, I was staying with him under his lease since I was not able to get my own. Since I've had eye surgery, I haven't been able to return to work quite yet and since he was my source of income outside of donations for the time being, I now no longer have that until at least the end of November. I have checked with the landlord of the current house and unfortunately, I can't even get my own lease even though I was living in the house.

I've been asked if I have friends and family and the short answer is no. The last few months have been so taxing between medical procedures and trying to stabilize. I sometimes consider completely giving up because it seems every time I get some ground it all just crumbles beneath my feet and I find myself starting from square one all over again. I just want to live and be okay.

Right now I have a place potentially lined up and I spoke with them about the situation. The only thing I would need is first month's rent and some food until I'm back to work and can do it on my own again.
