Support After the St. Louis Tornado
On Friday, May 16th, a tornado passed through St. Louis and caused significant damage in the Central West End/ North City area.
Our apartment was severely damaged, and we are living in temporary housing while repairs are made. We are very lucky that everything was not destroyed and we are doing well.
Unfortunately, others were not so lucky. I am a third-grade teacher at a charter school in the North City. Many of our students and their family's houses were completely destroyed and they are left with nothing.
I am raising funds not only to support us through this unexpected time but, more importantly, to help my students and their families who will need to start over completely. The funds will go directly toward providing resources and necessities to as many families as we can.
Any contribution is deeply appreciated, and sharing this page helps more than you know.
Thank you for your kindness and support during this time.

Withdrawal and Bank Account Oversight:
Funds will be withdrawn by me, Charlotte, and deposited into my personal bank account with Bank of America, which is being used exclusively for this recovery effort. I will then donate the funds to my school's private donation page. From there, the school will handle distributing the funds to help families in need.
Use of Funds – Supplies and Support:
Donations will be used primarily to purchase:
Essential items (food, clothing, hygiene products, school supplies)
Emergency housing materials (bedding, temporary shelter needs)
Tree removal and cleanup services for student homes
Direct financial support in specific cases of urgent need
Timeline for Aid:
Distribution of aid will begin within 2 weeks of fundraising progress reaching key thresholds (e.g., $1,000, $5,000), with ongoing distribution as donations continue. We aim to complete the first major round of supply distribution by mid-June, with follow-ups and additional support throughout the summer as rebuilding continues.
