Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart after a devastating hurricane swept through Jamaica, leaving behind widespread damage and destruction. Our family lives high up in the mountains of Montego Bay, where the storm hit especially hard.

While we are beyond grateful that everyone is safe, their home and small family business — their main source of income — have suffered major losses. Part of their roof was torn away, and much of what they’ve worked so hard to build over the years is now gone. Because they live in the mountains, power and communication lines are expected to be down for quite some time, making recovery even more challenging.

We are doing everything we can from afar to help them get back on their feet, but the need is greater than what we can manage alone.

I know there are many wonderful organizations accepting donations for hurricane relief across Jamaica, and I encourage anyone who can to support those efforts as well. However, this fundraiser will go directly to my husband’s family and their local community in the mountains of Montego Bay — to help rebuild homes, repair what’s left of their business, and provide essential supplies for neighbors who are also struggling to recover.

Every dollar raised will go straight to verified needs such as roofing materials, rebuilding their shop, food, clean water, and other urgent essentials. I’ll share updates and photos as soon as communication is restored so that donors can see exactly how their contributions are making an impact.
