On Thursday, September 26 around 8pm, I was standing in our backyard where there was no water. In two minutes, our yard started filling up, and our street and front yard were completely flooded. Then we had about 4 feet of water dumping into the house. We had to pick the kids up and walk across the street in chest-deep water to a very nice lady's house who opened up her home to the kids and me. They watched our kids while we went back across the street to then carry our dogs across. We grabbed about three bags of stuff before going back to our neighbor's house at that point. The water was so deep. You couldn’t even see our cars. You couldn’t see the road; you couldn’t see mailboxes. It stayed like that until around 4 AM, and then all of that water just disappeared. We lost absolutely everything, our cars, everything, but we ARE safe. That’s all that matters, but we do need some help at this time.
