On the afternoon of 14th July, our beloved aunty's life changed in an instant when a devastating fire destroyed her home. Thanks to the quick actions of a kind neighbour, she and her beloved dog were safely rescued, but sadly they escaped with nothing more than the clothes she was wearing.

The fire completely destroyed her home and everything she owned. She is currently being temporarily housed in a hotel by the local authority while she begins to navigate the long road ahead.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, although the fire service believes it may have originated in the back yard, potentially caused by the sun.

Heartbreakingly, she did not have contents insurance, meaning she has lost all of her belongings with no financial safety net to help her start over.
