Rebuilding After Job Loss and Car Theft: Help Me Get Back on My Feet

My Story

Hi, I'm Abiy. Recently, my life took an unexpected turn when I lost my office job and shortly after, my small sedan was stolen. This double blow has left me in a difficult financial position as I was using my car not only for commuting but also for side gig work that helped supplement my income. My wife has health issues including heart failure while taking care of our son Michael. I have tried several churches, community centers and social services and wasn't able to get help because there are no funds available.

The Impact

Without my car and primary source of income:

I'm struggling to keep up with rent and monthly bills

My debt payments are becoming increasingly difficult to manage

My ability to search for new jobs has been limited due to transportation challenges

The side gig income I relied on is now completely gone. If I don't come up with rent money by May 1st we will be homeless.

My Immediate Needs
