Help Rebuild After Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica

Hello, my name is Haley and I am from California. I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my 13-month-old son’s father, who lives in the Westmoreland Parish of Jamaica.

On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, Hurricane Melissa devastated the island of Jamaica, leaving widespread destruction in its wake. For three long days after the hurricane hit, I was unable to reach him, and even now, communication remains difficult and inconsistent.

His home suffered significant damage, and the workshop where he builds furniture for a living was completely destroyed. With his livelihood gone, it’s uncertain when he will be able to start working again to support himself. Currently, he is without electricity, and it may take months—possibly into next year—before power is restored.

The roads are badly damaged, making it difficult to access food, clean water, and Wi-Fi. The devastation has touched every part of daily life. My heart breaks for the people of Jamaica—this beautiful island that I consider my second home.

I am kindly asking for your support during this tragic and uncertain time. All donations will go directly toward helping him rebuild his home, restore the furniture workshop, and cover essential living expenses such as food and water.
