Help Our Family Rebuild After Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica
Hello, my name is Faryal, and my husband is Chris. Our family — including his mom, brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins — in Westmoreland, Jamaica, has been devastated by Hurricane Melissa.
While we are here in the United States, we are doing everything we can to support them from afar and give them hope through these trying times. They are not only facing the immense challenge of rebuilding their homes, but are also struggling to keep everyone fed, clothed, and safe after losing everything.
When Hurricane Melissa tore through our community, it left unimaginable destruction in its wake. Among the hardest hit was the Darlingston community, where my mom, brothers, their families, and cousins lost everything — their homes, belongings, and the small comforts that made up their daily lives.
Their houses were completely destroyed by the storm’s powerful winds and flooding. Now, they are left with nothing but the clothes they escaped in and the hope that things can somehow get better.
Despite the devastation, our family remains strong, faithful, and determined to rebuild. But the road to recovery is long and overwhelming, especially without resources or support.
Your donation — no matter how small — can help them:
Find safe and stable housing
Replace essential items like clothing and school supplies for the children
Access food and clean water
Begin rebuilding their homes and their lives
Every contribution brings them one step closer to stability and peace after the worst hurricane to hit Jamaica in years.
Funds will be used to provide food, clothing, and rebuilding assistance for the homes that were destroyed.
We can’t do it alone. Please, let’s come together to help our family rebuild their lives with dignity, hope, and love.
Every share and every dollar truly counts.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support.
