Help Rebuild After Domestic Abuse Horror

I have been the victim of domestic abuse for 3 years. Things came to a scary head in November 2024 when my ex had been arrested for domestic abuse, menacing, pointing a gun at me and possession of firearms while not legally allowed to have them due to being charged with criminal stalking against his children’s mother. He got out on bail the next day and has been harassing me ever since.

There was a jury trial set this month but the case was dropped due a lack of evidence and too much “he said she said”. 2 days later he stalked me at my work and threatened me and a friend that dropped me off. He has been doing and saying insane things to that friend and has been trying to ruin my life in every way he can. It is under investigation and nothing has been proven yet, but I have never been more positive of anything in my life …

my ex blew up my home. I had just gotten and paid off a little trailer and moved it into the park close to my work. A wonderful community. I received a phone call around midnight on 5/22/25 asking me where I was and that my trailer was on fire. I was at a friend’s house. I finally had my own place, as modest as it was, and it had everything I owned inside. My cat was inside. The fire marshal found her body inside. He killed her. My ex threatened to kill her so many times.

I am beyond devastated. I have NOTHING. My ex and I had court that morning because I got a restraining order against him and he contested it. He subpoenaed my boss. First question he asked him was if I wore revealing clothing at work. They upheld my restraining order and he wasn’t happy about it at all. A volunteer fireman friend called me as he was on the scene and asked me if I had anything inside that could have caused an explosion. I didn’t. He said there was an explosion inside my trailer. They’re still investigating but there is no way my ex didn’t do this.

He did unspeakable things to the mother of his children for 15 years. He went to jail for stalking her. His reputation in this area is nothing short of dark. Our county experienced a massive cut in funding early this year and we went from 63 deputies to 3. Only one of which is responding to all calls. My ex violated the no contact order placed by the DA and should have been arrested. He wasn’t. No one even spoke to him.

I called 911 so many times. I called the sheriff. The local police in the two neighboring towns. State troopers. The attorney general. Dispatch. Everything. Nothing was done. He was and is still free and destroyed my life. My entire life is ruined. I have $4 to my name right now. I still have my job but understandably did not go in today. This is the worst thing that’s ever happened to me. I just wanted to leave him. I just wanted to be happy and free again.

He kept me from having friends. From seeing my family. Wouldn’t let me work and only “allowed” me to work where I do because he could keep an eye on me. He cheated on me who knows how many times. Broke everything he could that he knew I cared about. This trailer was my home. My first ever place I had all by myself. Everything else was looking up. And now I’ve lost everything.
