Christmas fire.

Hello everyone. My name is Tierney Morris. I am the daughter and sibling to a family who lost everything on Christmas Day.

We had the usual Christmas family get-together. My family came to my home as they do most holidays. We laughed, joked around, ate lots of food, and had a wonderful day. The children opened gifts and played together. It really was a great Christmas. As the afternoon came, the time was nearing to prepare for goodbyes. If you are not aware, Cajun goodbyes can take hours. ☺️ It's hard to say goodbye.

I never imagined my family member walking into the house in a panic and saying the words they said. The world stopped. Everything was in slow motion, and I felt like we were not moving fast enough. Then hopelessness settled in, and I watched my family members' emotions flood out. I will never forget the traumatic sights and sounds. As I held one family member, I watched as the others left to hurry back to their home 2 hours away from me.

They lost their home to a fire. Completely devastating. They lost everything, including their precious pets: one beautiful dog and four loving cats. There are three adults and three school-age children. This should never have to happen to anyone. They are starting 2025 with no home and so many things taken from them.

They are always giving and helping people, never asking for anything in return. It's time we return the favor and bless them.

I am hoping to raise enough money to assist with rebuilding their lives and help with expenses (food, clothing, kids school supplies, housing...ect.) as they wait until they can once again have a place to call home.

No amount is too small.
